During my usual neocities site browsing sesh I saw someone include ramblings about their OCs in their blog page. (I hope I'll find it again so I can link it). But it made me realize "Oh hey that's allowed!".
Now I know that my whole site is pretty much dedicated to oc rambling, but all those pages in some way include some sort of neutral tone or presentable writing style, some consideration to spoilers for the webcomic or some filtering of what is more through a default lense rather than my lense as a creator's. They are impersonal, distanced from myself. There will always be things in the background of these characters that were intended to be figured out or interpreted by the person consuming said content. Buttt what if I wannaaaa ramble about nonsense? About my creative process or thought process or me going too into depth into my own characters, worlds and stories?
This is where these blog pages come in. They are buried this deep into the site because they are meant only for the nosiest of people with the most investment into these characters, if there are any. I believe there is fun in waiting or interpreting, but if you are willing to allow the author to dig himself out of his grave then welcomeee get cozy you might lose some faith in meee. This is where I allow myself to geek out a little and be as open, impulsive, honest and info/lore heavy as I want to be.
